Community Rules
The Carving Finder works when every pin is useful, honest and respectful. These rules apply to access requests, accounts and all contributions.
Pin real public finds
Add genuine chainsaw carvings that people can reasonably discover at the location shown. Use an accurate position and a clear, current photograph.
Don’t turn the map into advertising
Do not flood a workshop, shop, event or sales location with inventory. Commercial promotion, repeated near-identical pins and misleading locations may be removed.
Respect property and privacy
Never trespass or encourage others to trespass. Avoid identifiable bystanders, private information, vehicle registrations and anything that could put a person or property at risk.
Keep it suitable for the community
No abusive, hateful, threatening, explicit, illegal or deliberately off-topic material. Do not impersonate another person or claim credit for their work.
Help keep the Finder accurate
Record visits and updates honestly. Do not manipulate XP, standings, invitations or verification counts. Repeated or coordinated abuse may lead to restricted access.
Moderation
Administrators may edit, reject or remove contributions and may restrict or close accounts to protect the map and its members. Honest mistakes are treated differently from deliberate abuse.
Share worthwhile carvings, be accurate, respect people and places, and don’t game the community.
