Chainsaw Legends operates the Carving Finder. This notice explains what information the site uses and why.
Information we collect
We collect details you provide when requesting access or creating an account, including your display name and email address. If you contribute, we also store your pins, photographs, locations, visits, updates, invitations, XP and moderation history.
We keep basic security and diagnostic records. Privacy-friendly traffic reporting stores page, device category, referring website and a one-way visitor identifier rather than an advertising profile.
How we use it
We use this information to operate accounts, review access requests, display and maintain the map, attribute contributions, prevent abuse, provide standings, send service emails and understand whether the site is working.
We do not use an access request to send marketing emails and we do not sell personal information.
Who processes it
Information may be handled by providers that support website hosting, databases, email delivery, mapping, security and error logging. Public contributions—including display name, carving photographs and approximate location—can be visible to anyone using the Finder.
How long we keep it
Account and contribution records are normally kept while the account and map entry remain active. Declined access requests are deleted after 90 days. Basic traffic records are normally kept for 180 days and application logs for 30 days. Some limited records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can update core account information from My Account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to certain uses of your information.

Cookies and account security
The site uses essential account and security cookies. The built-in traffic reporting does not use advertising cookies. Keep your password private and contact us if you believe someone has accessed your account.
